Giving Back: Downtown Eastside Women's Ctre

Thank you to local companies & individuals who stepped up with generous donations to help us create our "Personal Care Bags," for girls and women of Vancouver's Downtown Eastside Women's Resource Centre.Their generous contributions made this all very possible.Items include are personal hygiene products such as: toothbrushes, toothpastes, deodrants, band aids,soap, sanitary napkins, q-tips, tissue, wet naps, combs & nail files. Thank you Cheryl, Sarina & Anoop! We had helped serve lunch at the centre after we dropped off the bags to the shelter.  The ladies were very appeciate of the items and we were glad we could help, a very humbling experience.

Nirbhaya Candlelight Vigil | Abbotsford

We came together as one to pledge to fight for the safety and security of every girl and woman in honour of all the lives lost due to violence against girls and women. We honoured the life of the girl named by the media as "Nirbhaya," which means fearless who was a victim of a horrendous gang rape crime in Delhi who later died of her injuries in Dec 2012.. Thank you to everyone that came out to support this issue.
