On March 8th GirlKIND and Abbotsford Community Services partnered with Dave Kandal Elementary students to take part in our 2nd Annual Notes of Hope. These notes are well wishes, notes of empowerment that will be given to girls that live in orphanges where they either have been abandoned by their parents or rescued from being trafficked.
These notes along with personal care supplies will be sent to a home in India & Cambodia. It is a small gesture of kindness to let them know there is a whole other world thinking of them. It is also a valuable lesson to the kids creating them as they get creative and constructive they learn about a whole other world and what it means to reach out to someone as well as value what they have. I had fun watching the kids get creative & colourful. Thanks to Anoop, Ty, Balraj and Dave Kandal Elementary.
