Abby Sr. Secondary graduates marked their Grad Ceremony this evening. It was a very inspiring and motivating evening to be a part of. GirlKIND gave out its first scholarship, Gabrielle MacGregor was the recipient.
Gabe has worked very hard in various aspects of her academic career as well as taken a active interest in her community. She inspires other to give more and encourage others to learn about engage about things that matter. She has been an avid supporter of GirlKIND who not only has been advocating for what GirlKIND represents but has held fundraising events to help raise funds for GirlKIND. She truly represents the qualities that reflect GirllKIND values. I am very happy that she is the first recipient to receive this award and I know that she will be very grateful knowing that we helped her along the way.
Congrats to Grads of 2017!
We marked our 4th Annual "Every Girl Matters Day," in Abbotsford today. We held a small celebration with coffee and cake and featured local talent including Saint Soldier & dancers from Dynamic Dance. We had cameras set up to shoot for our EGM campaign, getting folks involved to have their say as to why girls matter. Thank you everyone that showed up, got involved and helped out.

GirlKIND and the Reach Gallery Museum are proud to announce the fourth annual “Every Girl Matters Day,” in BC in conjunction with the UN’s Day of the Girl on Oct 11th A day to call on all communities around the world to recognize the injustices girls face and to celebrate their abilities. Please join us on this date at the Reach Gallery Museum, 32388 Veterans Way, Abbotsford BC from 4-6pm.
Individuals can help make a difference in our video campaign by having their say as to “Why Every Girl Matters?” We will be shooting on location asking the public this very question. This is a way for individuals to take part in a bigger montage of voices that are working for change and helping to create a better world where girls’ rights matter.
In addition, people can take part in our “Handmade with Love Art Project,” where you can literally get your hands involved as we welcome you to help us create a tapestry of hand painted art with heartfelt messages on our social banner.
Performances by local artists include: Saint Soldier and Elementz Dance Crew. Our Facebook listing can be found here:
