GirlKIND's AGM 2013

The Board of Directors of GirlKIND held it's Annual General Meeting earlier this week.  We reflected on the past year and the many different events, forums and screenings we have held, all in efforts to help bring an end to gendercide and the various forms of discriminations and violence girls and women face.

We look forward to continuing our efforts for 2014, with much in the works. We are fortunate to be able to have this platform to help bring change and will continue to be a voice for those who can't speak up. Much love for 2013, cheers to 2014!

Every Girl Matters Day proclaimed in BC

The B.C. Government has officially proclaimed Oct. 11 as Every Girl Matters Day to coincide with the United Nations’ Day of the Girl. Official presentation was conducted by Minister Mike De Jong and MLA Simon Gibson of Abbotsford, BC.  I personally think that this proclamation sends a strong message throughout BC and Canada and even the rest of the world. As a  Province who believes in equal rights and opportunities for girls. A province that stands up to injustices that girls face in their own local backyards as well as our global backyards.

We are very proud to mark this day and feel that this is a step in the right direction for all girls and women. More pics can be viewed on our Facebook page or by clicking read more.
